Got the idea from an article I found while "browsing the web". Taken it one stage further by replacing the two square sections on the chassis rather than bolting a bracket to the originals.
Access now far better (can actually get the spare out now should I need to).

original on left, new on right

bolts, nuts and joints all stainless, off-cut of box section courtesy of Adrian@.
Threads into bonnet were 1/2" unf, Helicoiled to 12mm

From your pictures Mike, someone has had to bastardised the chassis from OE (I presume when replacing the bonnet frame) and off-set the chassis pick points ...your work, sort of puts back into almost OE position, In the past the car had my removable bonnet 'R' pin system, was that not on the car when you purchased it?

Adrian,
I do not suppose you will have any of your quick disconnect bonnet hinges available again in the near future? It is a few years now since I lost mine in a crash and I would like to find another pair.

No, just some badly welded brackets and hinges! tongue out

The box section from you is much better, being slightly larger it takes the "Unistrut" plastic caps to blank the ends which tidies things up nicely.

Don't blank them they are the TVR M series ground effect aerodynamic funnel thruster brackets, honest.

Did you learn from experience ?
Is that why your car seems to be at right angles to the track in your profile photo? wink
